No doubt you are keenly aware of the Stay at Home order for California, and the public health order for San Diego County (updated 3/23/2020), which have dramatically changed all business operations in Carlsbad, as a result of the coronavirus.
Of course restaurants are affected by this order, as well.
There IS a bit of good news, however, as many restaurants are open to offer take-out service (including some who did not before), about 43 per the City of Carlsbad website as of today. And a number of these eateries also offer curbside pickup as well as delivery services, some through delivery services such as Doordash.
As of today, there are a total of 65 Carlsbad restaurants to choose from, who will no doubt appreciate your business.
The City of Carlsbad has a terrific interactive map of these restaurants (while it gets updated it might not include every option), and you can filter in the ones that offer curbside service (currently 34 of the 65), or takeout service (43). The map is updated every few days but you should always verify the status of services offered, and the hours at any restaurant of interest.
If you click on each pin on the map (restaurant location) you can learn more about the restaurant’s services (e.g., takeout, curbside, delivery), and link to their website to see the menu. Some restaurants may offer online ordering in addition to phone orders.
Restaurants are expected to continue to comply with all the CDC recommendations, including social distancing inside and at curbside pickup.
San Diego Magazine provides an extensive list of other area restaurants offering takeout and/or curbside services.
