Carlsbad Oktoberfest is Saturday October 1, 2016

Yes, once again it’s time for the very popular CARLSBAD OKTOBERFEST on October 1.

This fun-filled event will be held at Carlsbad’s Holiday Park, located on Pio Pico a short distance south of Carlsbad Village Drive just east of the 5 freeway. The Carlsbad Oktoberfest is reportedly North San Diego County’s longest running Oktoberfest.

The Rotary Club of Carlsbad is the annual sponsor of the Carlsbad Oktoberfest 2016, with additional sponsors including ViaSat, Cosmetic Social Media, Westfield, NRG, Scripps and many others. This year the funds raised at Oktoberfest will go to 2 major beneficiaries, the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation, and Solutions for Change, a local charity dedicated to solving family homelessness.

So what can you expect if you haven’t been before?

Well, certainly plenty of  German music and polka dancing – what Oktoberfest would be complete without this?  You’ll also find activities for the kids at the Kinder Korner, including face painting, a Children’s pumpkin patch for decorating pumpkins, several bands, bounce houses, and antique firetruck. And you probably won’t want to miss the classic German Oktoberfest dinner.

Carlsbad Oktoberfest advance tickets are $15 (for 1 full meal and admission), plus other ticket levels, and may be purchased online, or on the day of the event for $20 at the gate.

The Carlsbad Oktoberfest opens at 12 noon and will run until 10 pm.

And if you REALLY want an Oktoberfest Weekend, you can attend the Encinitas Oktoberfest on Sunday October 2.
