Carlsbad Oktoberfest 2019 is October 5th

Oktoberfest in Carlsbad

Fall officially arrives Monday September 23rd, and that means it’s time for the 2019 Carlsbad Oktoberfest and Family Fall Festival, North San Diego County’s longest running Oktoberfest.

And a big crowd, perhaps 10,000, is expected.

The 37th Annual Rotary Carlsbad Oktoberfest and Fall Festival is held in Holiday Park from 12 noon until 9 pm. Holiday Park is located close to Carlsbad Village on Pio Pico – head south from Carlsbad Village Drive (just east of the 5 freeway) and you’ll find it between Pine and Chestnut.

If you have been before you know the parking in the surrounding residential area is limited. To avoid issues, think about parking at the SW corner of The Shoppes at Carlsbad (El Camino Real and the 78) and using the shuttle buses. Shuttles run every 20 minute, from 11:30 am until 9:30 pm. Of course you can also walk or ride your bike.

The 2019 Carlsbad Oktoberfest and Family Fall Festival is sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Carlsbad (there are 2 clubs – The Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary and the Carlsbad Rotary). Other sponsors include premiere sponsors TBD That Boy Good and Markstein Beverage Company, and more.

Funds from the 2019 Oktoberfest are to be shared with 2 major beneficiaries, the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation, and Solutions for Change, a local charity focused on helping to solve family homelessness.

So what will you find? Well, the usual Oktoberfest fun and entertainment that is sure to keep everyone happy and entertained from beginning to end. Of course there is German music and other bands, polka dancing, puppet shows, arts and crafts, games and rides, and costume and yodeling contests.

And this festive day would not be complete without the classic German Oktoberfest dinner along with other food options.

You can purchase advance tickets at $15 (for 1 full meal and admission) – they are $20 at the gate – among other ticket options, online at Eventbrite.
