The inaugural ArtWalk Carlsbad will be held this coming weekend on Armada Drive (off Palomar Airport Road) overlooking the Carlsbad Flower Fields and the ocean, on Saturday (11 am – 6 pm) and Sunday (10 am until 5 pm) September 22 and 23.
ArtSplash was a popular 2-day arts festival for years, and it’s exciting to have this new fall arts festival in the same location.
ArtWalk Carlsbad is sure to please any art lover, with a wide range of art work in all fine art mediums – glass, jewelry, sculpture, oil painting, wood work, metal work, mixed media – with well over 100 local, regional and international artists.
You are sure to find something you love to add to, or start, your art collection.
Some of the artists will be donating a portion of their proceeds to ArtReach, a not-for-profit organization that supports art education in San Diego public schools.
A high-light, in my opinion, will be the chalk art exhibit (photo above is from a chalk art exhibit at ArtSplash), with around 50 artists crafting temporary chalk creations on the pavement!
In addition to all the art work you can enjoy live music, food trucks, a beer and wine pavilion, and interactive art activities. Don’t miss ArtWalk Carlsbad to kick off the start of fall! I’ll see you there!!
