The 4th Annual ArtWalk Carlsbad 2023 is just a few weeks away, on September 9 and 10. No doubt artists and art lovers alike are thrilled.
The first ArtWalk Carlsbad was in 2018 and it was a winner, as was 2022. Sadly, 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to the pandemic. If you haven’t been and you enjoy art, you owe it to yourself to go.
ArtWalk San Diego produces the Mission Federal ArtWalk in Little Italy and the ArtWalk @ Liberty Square, and is the organizer of this 2-day Carlsbad art festival.
Multiple sponsors help make this art event affordable for attendees and for artists.
ArtWalk Carlsbad is free to attend, and will offer more than 150 local, regional and international artists. As a result you should expect plenty of high quality art work if past events are any indication. (This photo is from a prior art fair in Carlsbad.)
ArtWalk Carlsbad is held on Armada Drive above the Carlsbad Flower Fields (sadly they aren’t blooming at this time of year). Moreover, there are terrific views of the Carlsbad coastline and ocean, with ocean breezes from this venue. These are nice side benefits while enjoying beautiful art work and talking with their creators.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT ARTWALK CARLSBAD
Hundreds of works of art in a wide range of media will be on display. Thus, you’ll find glass, photography, sculpture, oil painting, jewelry, metal work, wood working and more. The selection of artists is by jury so you can expect high quality and variety. You can check out the participating artists here.
KidsWalk is a special area for young artists, too. KidsWalk will feature fun, family-friendly art projects and art activities with several sponsors to guide you.
In addition, attendees can enjoy live music on both days on 2 stages. There will be Food Trucks and Stands, plus 2 Beer and Wine Pavilions.

There is parking along Fleet Street and in adjacent lots, immediately east of Armada Drive. There are 2 entrances to the event.
Saturday September 9 ~ 11 am to 6 pm
Sunday September 10 ~ 10 am to 5 pm
