ArtWalk Carlsbad 2019 is September 21-22

2023 Carlsbad Oktoberfest

The inaugural ArtWalk Carlsbad took place last year following the demise of ArtSplash several years ago.

My opinion? It was a great success and I certainly enjoyed my time there! Check out my slideshow.

ArtWalk San Diego is the producer of ArtWalk Carlsbad – they also produce the Mission Federal ArtWalk in Little Italy and the ArtWalk @ Liberty Square. There are also multiple sponsors who help keep this event affordable for attendees and participants.

ArtWalk Carlsbad takes place on Armada Drive above the Carlsbad Flower Fields, and the venue offers terrific views of the Carlsbad coastline and ocean, with ocean breezes as a side benefit to viewing beautiful art work.

No doubt ArtWalk Carlsbad will be a big hit again, with the popular chalk art creations from multiple chalk artists, and numerous works of art by local, regional, and international artists (over 100) in a wide range of media – glass, photography, sculpture, oil painting, jewelry, metal work, wood work and more.

Kids will have fun, too, at the KidsWalk. This area will feature family-friendly art projects and art activities with several sponsors.

Attendees will also enjoy interactive art exhibits (Artist & Craftsman Supply, and the North County Arts Network), and live music on both days.

You can purchase tickets online or at the entrance gate. Tickets are $8/per for each day (with a $2 facility fee) which is a little less than last year, or buy a Weekend Pass for 1 person at $13. (NOTE – prices go up $2 after August 31st). You can print your tickets at home or show them on your phone, or pick up at the gate at WILL CALL.

Parking is fairly plentiful along Fleet Street, immediately east of Armada Drive, and free. Watch for signs directing you to other available parking lots in this corporate office park along Fleet Street.
