Art in the Village Reminder

Art in Carlsbad

This is a friendly reminder about the upcoming Art in the Village Fair.

This popular fine art event features local and regional artists on Sunday June 26th.  Art in the Village is open from 9 am until 5 pm, and takes place along State Street and Grand Avenue in Carlsbad Village.

The Art in the Village fair is sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association, and you’ll see new as well as returning artists.

All artists are juried which means high quality. In addition all the artwork is unique and crafted by hand. [photo is from a prior art fair]

Art in the Village fair is June 26, 2022

Carlsbad is well known for its 1-day art fairs. Whether you are an art lover, or not, strolling the Village streets to enjoy art and music on a summer Sunday is fun. That’s true even if you only browse and don’t buy a thing!

The 2022 Art in the Village features works of art from over 100 local and regional artists. You’ll also find interactive demonstrations, performance art, and live music.

I’ve been impressed with the diversity of works of art on my previous visits. You can expect fine art, hand-painted clothing, sculpture, ceramics and pottery, jewelry, paintings (watercolors, oils, acrylics, and mixed media), wood working, metal, glass creations, furniture, and more.

Don’t forget your credit cards and/or cash so you can have some fun!

Our late June weather is usually pretty good and a great time to enjoy the outdoors and the beach. Carlsbad Village art fairs are always crowded, so expect some parking challenges in town. The good news is our parking is free. But consider your travel time accordingly.

If you’d rather take public transportation or are traveling a distance the Coaster commuter rail is close by.

There are plenty of retailers in the downtown area to visit if you get tired of the fair. There are also multiple dining options in Carlsbad Village, too. Plus the beautiful Carlsbad beaches are 2 blocks away for a stroll before or after the fair.

Will I see you at this year’s Art in the Village?
