The inaugural ArtWalk Carlsbad was held this past weekend on Armada Drive overlooking the Flower Fields (not looking flowery at the moment) and the ocean. This 2-day art festival was created by ArtWalk San Diego – founders of other well known art events in the area.
The festival featured over 100 local and regional artists with works in just about every medium you can think of, plus about 50 chalk artists creating chalk art on the road right before your eyes. Live music, food trucks, a beer and wine pavilion and 2 interactive art stations added to the fun.
Here’s a short slide show (about 1 1/2 minutes) I put together from my time there yesterday.
