Learn to Make Gelato in Carlsbad July 13

This Saturday, July 13th, is your opportunity to learn how to make gelato in Carlsbad (the photo is of the store in Carlsbad Village). It’s MAKE IT GELATO DAY!

The event is being offered by GelatoLove, at their Tasting Room and Gelato Lab at 5661 Palmer Way, Suite C (just north of Faraday and east of El Camino Real) in collaboration with Carlsbad Food Tours.

If you are a gelato lover – and I can’t imagine not liking it, but then I am biased – you no doubt are familiar with GelatoLove at the Village Faire in Carlsbad Village (formerly known as Gaia Gelato when they first opened their flagship store in March 2015). Business has been wonderful, and oh is it tasty, and they have expanded their gelato operation, and changed the name.

You can check out their website to learn more, and of course if you by some chance have NOT been, visit their store in the Village Faire Courtyard area – you’ll be thrilled at all the offerings (my favorite is the chocolate sorbet).

But back to the point of this article – GelatoLove is offering a gelato-making class from 12 to 2 pm on Saturday July 13. The cost is $45 per person and $25 for kids aged 10 and under. You’ll get to make gelato from the freshest local, organic and natural ingredients (did you know they use Carlsbad’s mineral springs water?), plus learn how to make sorbet drinks. Of course there will be a tasting, and you get to take home a pint of gelato that you made!

The number of participants is limited so don’t wait (if I were in town I would definitely be there!). You can reserve your place here.

GelatoLove in Carlsbad Village is located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive in the Carlsbad Village Faire, just west of the railroad tracks.
