Summer’s here, we are seeing more crowds in Carlsbad, especially in the Village and at the beaches, and the 4th of July holiday is next Thursday. It may feel a little odd with the 4th on a Thursday…but think of that long weekend you can enjoy!
Here are some popular 4th of July fireworks events in Carlsbad:
Fireworks at the Omni La Costa Resort
The annual fireworks at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in South Carlsbad are a favorite of many people, and have been popular with guests and area residents for years. There is an entire week of fun and festivities at the Omni from July 3rd through the 9th so you could make a real stay-cation out of it in you live here, or come for a few days! The fireworks take place Thursday night, July 4th over the golf course, and are visible from all over South Carlsbad and north Encinitas unless the marine layer interferes!
Fireworks at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort
Another Carlsbad favorite are the 4th of July festivities at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in South Carlsbad, just west of La Costa. The 4th of July fun includes a dinner buffet from 5 until 9:30 in the Palm Courtyard featuring live music, with their popular poolside fireworks starting at 9 pm (beverages will be available for purchase). Depending on where you are, you may be able to see the fireworks celebrations from both Aviara and La Costa at the same time!!
Fireworks Viewing and BBQ Dinner at 20/Twenty Grill at the Westin Resort Carlsbad – the Westin is very close to Legoland, and you can enjoy a wonderful BBQ dinner (with a special kids menu) AND watch the fireworks, too. The Reservations can be made from 6 until 10 pm, with tickets $65 for adults and $30 for children. The Westin is at 5480 Grand Pacific Drive off Cannon Road, adjacent to the Sheraton Resort.
