March is a busy month. First, Daylight Saving Time begins on the 10th, St. Patrick’s Day is the 17th, and the 1st day of spring is the 19th. The month ends with Easter on the 31st! Additionally, the 2024 Carlsbad EGGStravaganza Spring Festival takes place the day before Easter, Saturday March 30th.
The festival takes place in Carlsbad’s Poinsettia Community Park from 10 am until 1pm. Poinsettia Community Park is located at 6600 Hidden Valley Road, south of Palomar Airport Road.
There will be lots of fun at the EGGStravaganza, with multiple activities that include cookie decorating, face painting, “Soak the Bunny,” crafts, and a fun zone. Moreover, kids will enjoy Carlsbad’s largest Egg Scramble (Activity Cards are required). The Egg Scramble is ongoing from 10:30 until 12:30, or until the candy-filled eggs run out.
There are 2 competitive fields. One field is for kids ages 6 and older, and the other is for children ages 5 and younger.
Furthermore, there will be a non-competitive field for younger children, those with special needs, and as a place for photos.
Fun Zone Wristbands and Activity Cards ($5 each) should be purchased at 1 of 4 community centers between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. Furthermore, advance online registration is not needed. Moreover, there will be no refunds or replacements if wristbands or activity cards are lost or not brought to the event.
While wristbands are per person, activity cards can be shared among multiple children.
