Halloween is coming soon, and many yards are filled with decorations. The Carlsbad pumpkin patch and corn maze are open, and it’s just over 1 week to the 2024 Carlsbad Pumpkin Plunge.
This popular annual floating pumpkin patch takes place at the Alga Norte Community Center in South Carlsbad (La Costa area) located at 6565 Alicante Road (corner of Poinsettia Lane). The event is Saturday October 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
This event is one of several, like the Aloha Plunge, held each year at the aquatics center.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE PUMPKIN PLUNGE
Carlsbad kids can use a hula hoop to lasso their favorite pumpkin from the floating pumpkin patch to take home for carving, decorating, and Halloween festivities. You’ll likely find only traditional orange pumpkins good for decorating, not the ones in the photo.
Be sure to bring your bathing suit so you can enjoy all the fun in the pool including the pumpkin patch, floating obstacles and games!
Fun out of the pool will include several Halloween-themed lawn activities. There will also be a Bounce House and plenty of photo opportunities! The Splash Pad will be open for the younger children.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Keep in mind that beverages and food cannot be brought in from outside the venue.
The cost is $10 per person; children age 3 and under are free but they must be registered at check-out.
To save yourself some time pick up wristbands before the event. These will be available at the Alga Norte Aquatics Center during normal business hours, beginning 1 week before.
You should Register in advance. The event is limited to 500 attendees, and is expected to sell out, so don’t delay! Wristbands will be sold at the door if not sold out but I wouldn’t plan on that. All sales are final – no refunds!
