2023 San Diego County Fair

2023 Carlsbad Oktoberfest

Opening day at the San Diego County Fair is Wednesday June 7, 2023.

One of the nation’s largest, the San Diego County Fair runs until July 4th. Hours are 11 am to 10 pm Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and 11 am to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The San Diego County Fair is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except the final 2 days, July 3rd and July 4th. Hours on the last 2 days are 11 am until 10 pm.

The San Diego County Fair theme this year is “Get Out There!”  So get out and enjoy the outdoors and all the fair has to offer.

The Del Mar Fairgrounds are famous for multiple events during the year, including trade expos and concerts. In addition to the San Diego County Fair, the fairgrounds may be best known for Thoroughbred Racing Season. Look for updates on the 2023 horse racing season soon.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO SEE AT THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY FAIR?

There will be food concessions, shopping, games, rides, loads of exhibits, animals, and more.

Keep in mind ticket sales will be limited each day and may sell out, so don’t delay. A limited number of tickets will be available at the gate but you can save time and buy in advance. Tickets can be purchased online for your desired day.

Parking at the fairgrounds is limited. General parking is priced at $20 per vehicle ($15 on-line), and $50 for preferred parking (separate gate). There are off-site parking options with shuttles, too. Learn more about parking and buy parking passes.

Plan on heavier traffic around the fairgrounds, on the nearby side roads, the Coast Road/Route 101, and in particular on the 5 freeway near the Via de la Valle exit.

The Del Mar Fairgrounds are just off the I-5 Freeway (Via de la Valle exit), at 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard. Call (858) 755-1161 for more information.
