The first day of Fall is this Saturday the 23rd, and stores are jammed with Halloween decorations. And it’s only 3 weeks until the 2023 Pumpkin Plunge in Carlsbad on Saturday October 14th from 5 to 8 pm.
This popular annual floating pumpkin patch is held at the Alga Norte Community Park in South Carlsbad (La Costa area). The Alga Norte Aquatics Center is at 6565 Alicante Road (at the corner of Poinsettia Lane).
Kids can lasso their favorite pumpkin from the floating pumpkin patch, using a hula hoop, to take home for carving, decorating and Halloween festivities.
Don’t forget your bathing suit!
The fun out of the pool will include several Halloween-themed lawn activities. There will also be a Bounce House and plenty of photo opportunities! The Splash Pad will be open for younger children.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening. Please keep in mind food and beverages cannot be brought in from outside the facility.
The Pumpkin Plunge is $10 per person. Children 3 and under are free but must be registered at check-out.
To save time, you can pick up wristbands before the event. Wristbands are available at the Alga Norte Aquatics Center during normal business hours only. You can pick up your wristbands beginning 1 week before the event, and until October 13th.
You can Register starting 3 weeks before the event (now). The Pumpkin Plunge is limited to 500 attendees, and is expected to sell out, so don’t wait! Tickets will be sold at the event if not sold out but I wouldn’t take the chance. All sales are final.
