Things to do in Carlsbad

The 2023 Carlsbad EGGStravaganza Spring Festival takes place the day before Easter, Saturday April 8th. The event runs from 10 am until 1pm.

EGGStravaganza is held in Carlsbad’s beautiful Poinsettia Community Park. Poinsettia Community Park is located at 6600 Hidden Valley Road, south of Palomar Airport Road.

EGGStravaganza Activities and Egg Scramble

Carlsbad EGGStravaganza offers plenty of fun for all. There are multiple activities including face painting, cookie decorating, “Soak the Bunny,” crafts, plus a fun zone. Kids can enjoy Carlsbad’s largest Egg Scramble which is ongoing from 10:30 until 12:30 (or until eggs run out).

There are 2 competitive fields. One field is for kids ages 6 and older, and the other is for children 5 and younger.

EGGStravaganza also provides a non-competitive field for younger children, those with special needs, and as a place for photos.

Fun Zone Wristbands and Activity Cards ($5 each) should be purchased at one of the following community center locations. No online or phone registrations needed. Furthermore, there are no refunds or replacements if wristbands are lost or not brought to the event.

Wristbands are per person. However, activity cards can be shared among multiple children. Wristbands and activity cards can be purchased at the following locations between 8 am and 5 pm:

Harding Community Center, 3096 Harding Street

Stagecoach Community Center, 3420 Camino de los Coches

Alga Norte Community Park, 6565 Alicante Road

Wristbands and Activity Cards may be purchased at the event as well.

There will be food and beverages available for purchase, too.
