The 41st annual Carlsbad Oktoberfest is Saturday, October 7. That’s just 2 weeks from yesterday!
Carlsbad’s popular traditional Oktoberfest Family Fall Festival will be held at the Carlsbad Strawberry Company. The festival runs from 12 noon until 8 pm.
The entrance fee is $10 (separate from food and drink), with children 5 and under free. Pay at the entrance. Parking is complimentary. No cash, please.
As always, the 2023 Oktoberfest is sponsored by Carlsbad’s 2 rotary clubs – the Rotary Club of Carlsbad, and the Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club. The Oktoberfest Fall Festival is a major fundraiser for the Carlsbad Rotary Clubs. There are other event sponsors, as well.
Come enjoy a traditional German meal from the well-known Tip Top Meats in Carlsbad. And of course, there is a Bier Garten with draught and can beer and wine. You can purchase food and drink tickets in advance online.
The Oktoberfest DJ will provide music from 12 noon to 4 pm. Then Hazelnuss will provide live entertainment from 4 to 8 pm.
There will be a Kids Zone, Petting Zoo, and the popular Pumpkin Patch. And there are plenty of games, too, including a Stein-Holding Contest, a Musical Hut (hat) Contest, a Weiner Toss, and more.
You might want to wear your best outfit (e.g., Lederhosen) to be ready for the Best Dressed German Costume Contest.
And get your dancing shoes on for the Chicken Dance Contest.
