Carlsbad’s Oktoberfest, the 40th annual, is Saturday, October 1!
Carlsbad’s popular Oktoberfest Family Fall Festival traditionally takes place the 1st Saturday in October. The festival will be held at the Carlsbad Strawberry Company and is open from Noon until 8 pm.
The festival is sponsored, as always, by Carlsbad’s 2 rotary clubs – the Rotary Club of Carlsbad, and the Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club. Oktoberfest is a major fundraiser for the Rotary Clubs. In addition, there are a number of other event sponsors, too.
So come enjoy a traditional German meal from Tip Top Meats in Carlsbad. There will be a Beer Garden, of course, with draught and canned beer plus wine (21 and older only).
The Oktoberfest DJ will provide music from 12 noon to 4 pm. And from 4 to 8 pm the Bavarian Beergarden Band will offer live entertainment.
There will be a Kids Zone, a Petting Zoo, and the popular Pumpkin Patch. Furthermore there are plenty of activities and games, too, including a Stein-Holding Contest, a Musical Hut (hat) Contest, a Weiner Toss, and Chicken Dance-Off, and more.

You’ll find the Carlsbad Strawberry Company at 1050 Cannon Road, just east of the I-5 freeway and opposite Car Country. There is plenty of free parking, however, consider sharing a ride, especially if you plan to drink. There’s room to park and lock bikes, too.
