2021 San Diego Restaurant Week Starts Today!

Food

Starting TODAY San Diegans can dine on a wide array of food offerings with great prices at more than 90 restaurants all over San Diego as part of the 17th annual San Diego Restaurant Week.

How can a dedicated foodie go wrong with this many options around San Diego?!

And the event runs for 8 days, through next Sunday April 18th.

Plus what a delicious way to support the many restaurants and their employees that have suffered through the pandemic as a result of Covid restrictions, and even closures, in the last year!

So what is San Diego Restaurant Week? Well, it’s 8 days of great prices on fixed price menus at lunch, brunch (some places do not include brunch), and dinner all around San Diego…downtown, East County, and north in our coastal cities to Oceanside and Fallbrook.

And 4 Carlsbad restaurants are included!!

Prices include multiple courses, with dinner prices, as one would expect, higher than lunch. Pricing at lunch with 2 course runs from $10 to $25; dinner prices with 3 courses are $20 to $60. What a great deal!

2021 San Diego Restaurant week is your opportunity to check out some of the more expensive eateries you might not ordinarily dine at, and explore other restaurants you’ve heard about but haven’t tried.

Participating restaurants will observe the current COVID protocols and guidelines so you can feel safe…but expect some limitations as far as the number of diners allowed due to restrictions. A number of eateries offer outdoor dining as well as indoors, curbside pick-up/take-out, and even deliveries – check first to be sure depending on your preferences, pricing, and availability.

You’ll probably find plenty of dining options near where you live, or why not travel a bit further to explore new places? It’s your chance to be adventurous!

Taking part in Restaurant Week in San Diego is easy – no tickets or passes are needed. Just visit the restaurants that intrigue you and take advantage of terrific dining, a wide range of food types, and great prices. While NOT necessary it always makes sense to make reservations, especially for dinner and on the weekend, since this is such a popular event. Better to be safe than having to wait in line or find out there is no room.

Some restaurants will offer Open Table reservations directly from the Restaurant Week website, as well as from their own business websites.

So plan lunch or dinner out this coming San Diego Restaurant Week, or more than one…just bring your wallet, a good appetite, and be ready to enjoy!

Bon Appetit/Buon Appetito!!
