OK Fall is officially here, and you have no doubt seen a number of stores jammed with Halloween stuff (you know who they are!!).
The Carlsbad pumpkin patch and corn maze is open at the Carlsbad Strawberry Company on Cannon Road (and I have seen others), and it’s just a little over 2 weeks to the annual Pumpkin Plunge in Carlsbad.
The Carlsbad floating pumpkin patch is held at the Alga Norte Aquatic Center in the La Costa area of South Carlsbad, at 6565 Alicante Road (at Poinsettia), on Saturday October 19th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.
Carlsbad kids get to lasso (with a hula hoop) their favorite pumpkin from the floating pumpkin patch to take home for carving, decorating and whatever Halloween festivities they might be having…and neighborhood party perhaps?!
It’s a swimming pool filled with pumpkins, so of course kids will want to wear their bathing suits!!
Fun? You bet! You can expect several Halloween-themed activities including collecting bones, diving for treasures, and catching mutant fish. There will also be a Bounce House and plenty of photo ops for all!
A special movie, Spooky the Square Pumpkin (rated G), on the giant outdoor screen, starting at dusk., will end this fun-filled evening
The Dive In Grill will be open, as it always is for Aquatic Center events, to purchase food and beverages throughout the evening. Don’t forget that food and beverages cannot be brought in from outside.
The cost is $10 per person; children aged 3 and under are free but must be identified at check-out. To save time, pick up your wristbands before the event, available at the Alga Norte Aquatics Center, during normal business hours, until October 18.
