The 14th Annual Brasil Jazz Festa returns to San Diego. The festa will take place on Saturday March 12, from 7 to 9 pm.
We have a particular fondness for this event, having attended the first 4 festivals held at the Encinitas Public Library starting in 2008. We’ve been to most of festas since they moved to Dizzy’s Jazz Club in San Diego.
Last year’s concert was different due to the pandemic. The festa was live streamed, and on a smaller scale than in the live concerts. No doubt many are pleased the concert is returning in its usual format in 2022 at Dizzy’s!

The Brasil Jazz Festa returns to Dizzy’s Jazz Club in San Diego and features the following:
Peter Sprague’s “Tribute to Antonio Carlos Jobim” with Tripp Sprague (sax/flute) and Allison Adams Tucker (producer and vocalist)
Danny Green Trio (Danny Green – Piano; Julien Cantelm – percussion; Justin Grinnell – bass
No doubt this will be a wonderful celebration of Brazilian jazz and culture, as it has been for the last 13 years!
Tickets are $25 and may be purchased online. Seating is reserved in order of ticket purchases.
You can purchase tickets at the door unless the event is sold out (cash and Venmo only). Better get them in advance so as to not miss out.
