The Pirate Plunge, hosted by the Alga Norte Aquatic Center in South Carlsbad, is a popular aquatic event. The 2025 Pirate Plunge is on Saturday March 29th from 5 – 8 pm.
Here’s what you can expect at the Pirate Plunge
There are several pirate-themed activities in the pool for kids to enjoy, including a ship raider race and diving for treasure. Kids can race across floating obstacles in the pool and walk the diving board plank! On land there’s an inflatable pirate ship slide and a treasure hunt. As a result, there are plenty of photo opportunities.
In addition, the Splash Pad will be open for younger children.
Food and drinks can be purchased throughout the event.
Admission and wristbands are $15 per person. Kids 3 or under can attend for free but must be registered. The maximum number of attendees is 500 so get your wristbands early. The Pirate Plunge is a popular event and often sells out.
Pre-sale tickets are available now until the day before the Pirate Plunge. You can buy Pirate Plunge wristbands online here.
Wristbands can be picked up in person at the Aquatics Center during normal business hours the week before the event. Tickets can be purchased at the event if it doesn’t sell out, but don’t plan on it. It’s far better to purchase in advance and not be disappointed.
