Congratulations to the Carlsbad Class of 2020

Carlsbad Art Wall - Congrats to the Class of 2020

There is no question the last 3+ months of the school year has been a strange one for Carlsbad students due to the pandemic.

And recent graduations were certainly unique for hundreds!

Carlsbad Art Wall June 2020

I’ve enjoyed seeing the painted car windows, and posters on people’s lawns celebrating Carlsbad’s seniors who did not get to enjoy the walk down the aisle they anticipated.

If you have been in Carlsbad Village you probably saw the banners that are hanging at some key intersections to congratulate our senior Class of 2020:

Banners at Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Boulevard celebrate seniors from the Army & Navy Academy, Carlsbad Seaside Academy, Carlsbad Village Academy, Pacific Ridge High School, and La Costa Canyon High School.

Banners hanging at Carlsbad Village Drive and State Street celebrate the Class of 2020 from Carlsbad Senior High School and Sage Creek High School

The other wonderful tribute to graduating seniors can be found at the #CarlsbadArtWall at Senor Grubby’s on Carlsbad Village.

Bryan Snyder, founder of the Carlsbad Art Wall (see above photo) and art teachers from Sage Creek High School (Sierra Therese, Megan Herrick and Cathryn Burroughs) and Carlsbad Senior High School (Krista Oliver King and Kelly Foulk) created a celebratory masterpiece, along with the assistance of some visiting teachers and community members!

What a heartfelt tribute in the Village to our graduating Class of 2020 in Carlsbad. If you haven’t been by, be sure to take a drive down Carlsbad Village Drive toward the beach and look for the Wall just past the railroad tracks on your left. It’s terrific!

Congratulations to all of our seniors! And to all the other students who graduated Kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school, and of course our college grads!
