4th of July Fireworks in Carlsbad 2021

Summer Fun in Carlsbad CA

Summer is officially here, and the July 4th holiday is just around the corner.

Now that things opened up in California as of June 15th we can expect celebrations and fireworks displays in and around Carlsbad, along with private festivities, cookouts, and picnics.

It should be a very different holiday than we experienced in 2020 when there were so many cancellations.

Here are a couple popular fireworks events that are returning to Carlsbad in 2021 after being canceled last year.

4th of July Celebration and Fireworks at the Aviara Park Hyatt Hotel

A favorite Carlsbad event for the 4th of July holiday is the celebration at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Aviara. The festivities include live music plus dining on a special America BBQ dinner in the Palm Court, followed by spectacular fireworks.

Tickets are $115 for adults and $55 for children ages 5 to 12 for non-guests, and $95 (adults) and $45 (children 5 – 12) for guests, and can be purchased online. The dinner is from 5:00 to 8:30 at the Palm Court, with the fireworks display beginning at 9 pm.

Red, White and BOOM at Legoland

The famed Legoland California hosts this popular annual celebration with fireworks every year. There is fun for everyone, with lots of rides, live performances, relay races, and a big picnic! Add your own personal touch and come dressed in red, white and blue. The Legoland fireworks can be seen for miles and are popular with residents living in the area with lots of vantage points. We’ve watched them from the hills near our home in Calavera Hills.

The Red, White and BOOM celebration is an all day event, starting at 10 am and runs until 9 pm. All festivities for Red, White and BOOM are included in your admission price and reservations in advance are needed.

There will likely be other fireworks around in Carlsbad and nearby areas to watch, too.

Here’s a list of some other popular July 4th events in the greater San Diego area.

You’ll find that some events are not on the actual holiday, including fireworks, and other celebrations and displays may be around that are not on this list.

It’s clear there’s plenty to do for the 4th of July holiday weekend in Carlsbad, and around San Diego County! Enjoy and be safe!!
