I suspect Halloween may be a little different this year…time will tell. Maybe there will be even more decorations around? And I have to wonder if trick or treating be different in any way…I can imagine some possibilities. It’s not ALL that far off. And in preparation, the stores have been marketing their Halloween decorations, for a while in some cases.
Another tradition, the 2020 Annual Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze, is due to open at the Carlsbad Strawberry Company in Carlsbad on September 18, and will stay open until November 8.
There’s no doubt the Carlsbad Strawberry Company is well known for its strawberries; you can buy them already picked or enjoy picking them yourself.
But at Halloween time they open up the farm for a huge pumpkin patch with great photo opportunities, and the chance for everyone to pick their favorite pumpkin or two, or three.
They also offer a corn maze with a 1.5 mile trail that’s loads of fun for young and old. Plus there is the Haunted Maze “Field of Screams” from 7:00 – 10:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays beginning October 2nd until the 31st, in cooperation with the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation. For more information visit their website. There are games and foods on the weekends!
Early Bird Pricing for the Maze tickets is $25 with a discount for groups of 10 at $200. Order tickets here.
The Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze are located at 1050 Cannon Road, opposite Car Country and just east of the 5 freeway. There is plenty of free parking. Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily (other than the special haunted maze hours noted above).
For more information call (760) 603-9608. They are looking for volunteers to help with the maze and will have a number of Covid safety precautions in place.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
