Beer and micro-brew lovers are probably already aware, but if you aren’t, here’s some great news!
The 2018 Carlsbad Brewfest is this Saturday, September 8th.
Carlsbad, and San Diego in general, is now a hotbed of craft breweries and places serving all sorts of beers, ales and micro-brews, plus cider houses. So it’s no surprise that Carlsbad’s popular Brewfest, the 5th annual, is a fun way to check out about 66 of them (plus wine, cider and kombucha), all in one place, from 34+ area craft breweries.
The 2018 Carlsbad Brewfest will again be at Holiday Park on Pio Pico near Carlsbad Village, just south of Carlsbad Village Drive, from Noon until 4:30.
While much of the fun is centered around beer and other beverage sampling, there will be music by DJ Rob, plus food and snacks from multiple vendors to go with your beer and beverages.
Be aware they will be checking IDs and no one under the age of 21 will be admitted to the Brewfest. Be sure to arrive early to avoid missing out on your favorite brews – no telling when your faves might run out!
Once again they anticipate 1500 or so beer lovers, so plan accordingly for the best parking in the local area since it’s limited, or just walk or bicycle. You can purchase tickets online for $55; they even have a Designated Driver admission ticket at $20! And for military, police, firefighters, nurses, and lifeguards Appreciation Tickets are $40 (ID required at gate).
All funds raised from the Carlsbad Brewfest go to local and regional charities!
