The City of Carlsbad is proposing an increase in the recycling and trash rates over the next 5 years. As a Carlsbad resident you should have received a mailing on this with all the details.
If approved, the new rates for trash and recycling will go into effect on July 1 of each year beginning July 2017 through fiscal year 2021/2022.
THERE IS A PUBLIC HEARING!!
A public hearing is being held on Tuesday June 12, 2017 at 6 pm so that residents can get the scoop on the rate increase proposal and comment. The Public Hearing is being held at the City of Carlsbad Council Chambers at 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive.
Please note that as a property owner or rate payer you have the right to protest these rate increases. ONLY 1 PROTEST PER PARCEL is allowed. If you wish to protest this MUST be done in writing and signed (even if you attend the Public Hearing and state your protest), and should be sent to the City Clerk:
