You still have a few hours to plan for tonight’s TGIF Concert in the Park. The weather is beautiful, and cooler than it’s been!
IT’S THE LAST OF THE TGIF CONCERTS for this summer so you don’t want to miss it!
The popular TGIF Concerts in the Parks series continues tonight at Alga Norte Community Park in Carlsbad, at 6565 Alicante Road at Poinsettia in south Carlsbad (La Costa).
The concert is from 6 to 8 pm and will feature the popular band, Poncho Sanchez (latin music), so it should be a terrific evening. I’d be hanging out tonight if it weren’t for other plans.
As with all the concerts, due to the crowds (and they seem to arrive earlier and earlier each year), I would plan to arrive well before the start of the concert to get the best seating and to be able to park fairly close by. That may be even more true tonight given this is the last concert this summer!
Bring your dinner, drinks, chairs, and blankets, and money to buy those raffle tickets – prizes are awarded during intermission, and all the funds raised at the TGIF Concerts benefit the Friends of the Arts programs in Carlsbad.
