Tomorrow night is the 2nd Carlsbad Village Art Hop, sponsored by the Carlsbad Village Association (responsible for many fun events throughout the year in our downtown area), a series that premiered on March 22.
With our wonderful summer weather this is a terrific time to enjoy downtown Carlsbad Village and experience some of the beautiful art that makes our community so special.
In addition to art work by dozens of artists there will be artist demonstrations, live music, and refreshments.
3 well-known art venues are taking part in the Carlsbad Village Art Hop series:
Foundry Artist Studios – in addition to taking in all the beauty from 16 resident artists you will have an opportunity to participate in an interactive photo colorization project with Mike Striler. Enjoy the live music by Alejandra Koss.
Viz Art Ink Gallery – experience a wide range of art work from over 20 artists, plus a live art glass blowing demo by Max Kropczynsky of MAX Glass, making jewelry and more. Live music with Evan Diamond.
Carlsbad Village Faire – this popular shopping and dining venue will feature the COAL Gallery (Carlsbad Oceanside Art League), and Lynn Forbes Sculpture (watch sculpture being created before your eyes by several students). Enjoy live music by the Bad Carls and light refreshments from Village Fair restaurants.
The 3rd Carlsbad Village Art Hop in 2018 is on September 27 – stay tuned for more details.
