DAY 1 – Carlsbad Beaches

  • First of all, Happy New Year. I hope you have a wonderful day with friends, family, or just by yourself.

On Day 1 of our 365 Things to Do in Carlsbad (and nearby) journey, I suggest a walk on one of Carlsbad’s beaches. I ended the year that way and will likely start the year off that way too.  It’s a pleasant way to just enjoy nature and being by the ocean, it’s free, and it will be memorable, no matter what you see.

You might start out in Carlsbad Village to explore a few things then take the steps off Ocean (at the end of Carlsbad Village Drive) to the beach.

Or start on the beach then go enjoy a coffee and a snack in town after your walk.
