2017 TGIF Concerts in the Parks in Carlsbad

TGIF Concerts in the Parks in Carlsbad

Summer is around the corner so it’s time to start thinking about Carlsbad’s popular TGIF Concerts in the Parks starting Friday, June 23rd. These TGIF Concerts in the Parks are truly a highlight of our Carlsbad summers, and could be one of the best entertainment options around!

An outstanding combination of great live music, in one of 4 beautiful Carlsbad parks, on a summer evening, makes for a special time for area residents and visitors. And they’re FREE!! What more can you ask?

This is, I believe, the 32nd season of Carlsbad’s popular TGIF Concerts in the Parks series. The concert series is proudly presented by the City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office, taking place on 9 consecutive Friday nights in 4 of Carlsbad’s beautiful community parks (Note – the schedule is a little different this year!).

If you have been to one of these events before you know how popular these concerts are. If not, you can expect several thousand people, a sea of blankets and chairs, al fresco dining, lots of kids, dancing, and top notch live music in a wide range of styles. The TGIF Concerts run from 6 – 8 with intermission midway, during which they raffle off a bunch of really cool prizes that are sure to please, and funds raised go to support the arts programs in our community.

People start arriving early for the best seats, and the best parking, so plan to get there in plenty of time to save yourself a long walk.

Perhaps I’ll see you there!!
